A weak warm front has been the focus for the isolated development of showers and storms this 4 th of July.
Most of the activity was centered over SW Wisconsin, but a few pop-up showers have also developed over SE Wisconsin. These hit & miss showers/storms are something to watch for this evening. Severe weather is not expected, but lightning is a possibility — something those with outdoor plans should consider. Keep an eye on the radar if you're heading out to a fireworks display! Clouds remain overhead this evening.
Meanwhile, an area of low pressure is coming together across Minnesota. This will move into Wisconsin tonight and generate clusters of showers/storms for the next 24-36 hours. The clusters are expected to move into Wisconsin around/after midnight. These storms will weaken as they move farther East. Continued scattered rain showers will be a part of the Friday forecast. Overnight lows drop into the upper 60s. Clouds and rainfall will keep highs in the upper 70s.
More sunshine is likely by Saturday. Additional showers and storms move in late Sunday and into Monday. Highs remain in the 80s through next week.
