Edgewood Country Club hosting 34th GAM Net Team qualifying day
COMMERCE TWP. – Edgewood Country Club’s classic golf course will host the first day of the 34th GAM Net Team Championship presented by Michigan Golf Live on Monday. A field of 80 teams, or 160 golfers, including combinations of men, women and some family duos, will play 18 holes with net four-ball scoring. At least eight teams emerging from play on Monday will advance to the final day of the championship on Sept. 26 at Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield.

Shooting leaves 1 person dead on Detroit's west side
DETROIT (FOX 2) - One person was killed in a shooting on the Southfield Freeway Service Drive between St. Martin and Pembroke avenues in Detroit, according to police. The shooting took place on Thursday, before 4 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at an area hospital, according to Detroit police. No suspects are in custody at this time.

Detroit police continue searching for 17-year-old girl last seen in March
(CBS DETROIT) - The Detroit Police Department is still searching for 17-year-old My'Ca Redes, who was reported missing on March 13.Police said the teen was last seen on March 8 in the 6400 block of Ashton Avenue. She failed to return home after spending the weekend at a friend's house.DPD sent out the missing persons report again on Thursday, seeking the public's help in finding her.Crime Stoppers said in June that My'Ca was on social media on May 30. The organization is offering $2,500 for information leading to her return.My'Ca is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 115 pounds, with brown eyes and black and blond box braids.
