    Johnson County Senior Center temporarily closes due to COVID among staff

    JOHNSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson County Senior Center will be temporarily closed due to staff sickness.

    The office of the county mayor announced in a news release Tuesday that several members of the staff tested positive for COVID-19.

    The senior center is expected to reopen on Monday, Aug. 19.

    According to the county mayor’s office, the Johnson County Health Department provides free COVID testing kits.

    The county government wished the staff from the senior center a speedy recovery.
