Blountville, TN — Today we continue our high school football previews with a stop in Blountville at Tri-Cities Christian Academy.

This will be their 3rd year of existence for 8-man football under former David Crockett head coach Jeremy Boskins. Last season the Eagles were road warriors by traveling to 3 different states, but they still managed to go 6-2 and finish on a 4 game winning streak…

Now that there is a state championship for the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association of 8-man football, the Eagles who are ranked 3rd in the state and already have a game under their belt now have a goal in sight.

“That’s been our goal from day one since the season started. Our motto is, don’t talk about it, be about it for the season like, says Bugalla.”

“We’re three right now. But we could be two. We could be one. And I mean, yes, it’s a good milestone to achieve, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end. We got to keep going according to Bosken.”

“This is the first year for a state championship for eight men in the state of Tennessee. So we’re looking forward to the leadership that we have with the experience and the toughness to kind of take on this ten-game season we have, says coach Bosken”

Tri-Cities Christian plays Friday night at 6 against the Carolina Wildcats.
