New Academy Sports + Outdoors in Kingsport to open in September

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The new Academy Sports + Outdoors store in Kingsport is expected to open next month.

According to a release, the new store, located in the former Dick’s Sporting Goods suite in the Kingsport Pavilion Shopping Center on East Stone Drive, will open in September.

Academy retails a variety of sports and outdoor products, including fishing, hunting, camping, and team sports gear along with apparel and footwear.

It will mark Academy’s 14th location in Tennessee. The company has a store in Johnson City.

The new Kingsport store is located at 2626 East Stone Drive.
