    BVPD: Search warrant nets 200 fentanyl pills, cocaine

    BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A Bristol, Virginia man was arrested after police reportedly found more than 200 fentanyl pills, cocaine and firearms at his home.

    The Bristol, Virginia Police Department’s (BVPD) Criminal Investigations Division conducted a search warrant at a house in the 300 block of Flannagan Drive.

    Approximately 200 counterfeit fentanyl pills, more than one-half of a pound of cocaine, $8,000 and two firearms were found by detectives, the department reported.

    Melvin R. Davis, 30, of Bristol, Virginia, was arrested at the residence. He is charged with the following, according to the BVPD:

    • Possession of a schedule I or II with intent to distribute (two counts)
    • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a schedule I or II drug (two counts)
    • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

    As of Tuesday, Davis is being held at the Southwest Regional Jail without bond.
