    Traffic switch set for I-59 in Forrest County

    FORREST COUNTY, Miss. ( WHLT ) – There will be a traffic switch on Interstate 59 in Forrest County.

    According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), the switch will take place on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:00 a.m. and will last for six weeks.

    Broadway Drive revitalization project coming to Hub City

    MDOT officials said the switch will take place on I-59 between U.S. 49 and Evelyn Gandy Parkway (Exit 69). This is part of a paving project.

    Northbound traffic will be placed on the southbound side in a head-to-head configuration for approximately 0.5 miles on I-59 from the Bouie River Bridge to just south of Evelyn Gandy Parkway. No wide loads will be permitted.

    Drivers are reminded to be on high alert for roadside workers.
