Mississippi State football to celebrate 125th season

STARKVILLE, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Mississippi State football will commemorate its 125th season throughout the 2024 campaign.

Over the course of the upcoming year, MSU will recognize the players, teams and moments that have charted the course for Bulldog football history.

According to university officials, State supporters will have the chance to actively participate in the celebration in multiple ways. Fans are encouraged to submit personal photographs depicting their own exciting experiences involving MSU football.

The Bulldog family will also get to help determine the top State football moment of all time. Click here to submit your favorite moment for consideration.

Mississippi State played its first two seasons of football in 1895 and 1896. After four years without a team, MSU football returned in 1901 and has been played every year since except for 1943 when a team wasn’t fielded because of World War II.
