    Man arrested for shooting at Raleigh gas station

    SMITH COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Smith County deputies arrested a man for allegedly shooting another at a Raleigh gas station.

    The shooting occurred during the early morning hours of August 17, 2024, at the Chevron gas station in Raleigh.

    Man accused of shooting cousin in Natchez

    Smith County Sheriff Joel Houston said deputies and Raleigh police found the 24-year-old victim. He had sustained injuries during the altercation.

    Houston said the suspect, Kentario Tyre Campbell, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

    Campbell was arrested around 6:00 a.m. on August 17. He was charged with aggravated assault and is being held in the Smith County Jail.
