Two arrested for July shooting in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, Miss. ( WHLT ) – Hattiesburg police announced that two suspects have been arrested for allegedly shooting a man in July.

Police said Keon Ray Shawn Griffin, 25, and Jasna Nicole Wright, 27, were extradited to Hattiesburg from Lawton, Oklahoma. They have both been booked into Forrest County Jail on one count of aggravated assault: use of a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 25 at the intersection of Main Street and East 8th Street.

When officers arrived, they located the victim. Police said the man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening.
