**Editor’s note: The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office has determined a man who recently approached a real estate agent was not the person originally named in a warning by area realtors.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office says an investigation determined a man who allegedly was acting suspiciously around real estate agents was not the person originally named in a warning by local realtors.

Law enforcement investigated a recent report of a man approaching real estate agents at open houses.

The prosecutor’s office said Robert Willett, 67, the man named by the Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors, who is a convicted sex offender, is not involved.

The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office released the following statement:

“My office investigated a recent report of a man approaching real estate agents. While the investigation showed it was not the individual originally named, this interaction is a reminder that real estate agents must be vigilant in their safety. “
