There’s a ‘Big Fat Fake Wedding Reception’ in NE Ohio — and you’re invited!

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – There’s a ‘Big Fat Fake Wedding Reception’ happening soon in Northeast Ohio — and you’re invited.

The NautiVine Winery on Portage Lakes says it’ll be all the fun of a real reception but without the vows and commitment. And, the best part — you don’t have to fork over a big check!

The lakeside winery announced on social media that they are throwing a “pretend” wedding reception complete with a faux bride and groom, but with a real outdoor bar and DJ.

It’s all in hopes of snapping some “amazing dance floor footage” for the marketing of their new wedding venue .

“Dance the night away, have a drink on us, and experience the ambiance of our beautiful venue. Your presence will not only add to the festive atmosphere but also help us capture the perfect footage for our marketing materials,” reads an event page .

The Big Fat Fake Wedding Reception is set for Friday, Aug. 23 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Organizers note that by attending, you grant permission to be included in the company’s promotional content.
