Local barber shop offering free back-to-school haircuts

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – A fresh haircut is a key piece of getting ready to go back to school and a local barber shop is offering free cuts for kids as they head back to the classroom.

Jacob Sevek, owner of Columbiana Barber Shop, is offering haircuts for free all next week Aug. 19-24.

It’s all by walk-in and no appointments will be taken. The free cuts are strictly for kids who are going back to school from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Sevek says with the price of everything going up — and haircuts are no different — everyone should look sharp on their first day of school.

“It gives the kids confidence. Now they have all the pieces together when they go back to school. They’re not missing anything and hopefully, their friends and everybody all notice it,” Sevek said.

The shop is also offering two dollars off all of its hair products and other businesses in the plaza near Firestone Farms are also offering back-to-school freebies like smoothies and kids meals.
