WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — Bond was set Monday at $50,000 for a city man accused of stabbing another man Saturday evening.

Tony Hadden, 68, was arraigned in municipal court via hookup from the Trumbull County jail on a charge of felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

He is due back in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.

Hadden was arrested after police were called about 9:20 p.m. to a home in the 1500 block of Mahoning Avenue NW for a man trying to stab someone. When officers arrived, they found a man outside the home bleeding heavily from a stab wound to the arm.

Reports said the victim told police the man who stabbed him, later identified as Hadden, was inside passed out on a couch. Police looked inside and saw Hadden asleep on a couch with a knife behind the couch, reports said. Officers went inside, took the knife, and arrested Hadden after waking him up.

Reports said Hadden told police he stabbed the victim because he did not leave the house when asked to.

Another witness told police Hadden stabbed the victim during an argument, reports said.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph Health Center to be treated for his injuries.
