YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The City of Youngstown is asking for the public’s help to identify those responsible for illegal dumping.

There have been two illegal dumping incidents this week, both on the South Side of Youngstown off of South Avenue. One took place early Tuesday morning, while the other happened around noon on Sunday.

Litter and Recycling Coordinator Robert Burke said it is not clear if the same party or vehicle was responsible.

The photos below show footage captured of both incidents.

The images were captured using new cameras from BCI’s environmental unit, aimed at reducing illegal dumping in Youngstown.

“I want to change behavior,” Burke said. “Behavior is learned and can be unlearned, and my goal is to stop the dumping.”

If you have any information regarding the vehicle in the security camera footage, contact the Youngstown Green department at 330-744-7526 or via email at bburke@youngstownohio.gov

Any other illegal dumping concerns can be reported online here .
