    Southington loses in home opener

    SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (WKBN) – Southington fell to Maryland School for the Deaf in the Wildcat’s home opener, 42-22, Saturday evening.

    Wildcat’s junior Tanner Kelson rushed for a 60-yard touchdown in the first quarter of the loss. Also, Southington sophomore Tegun Noble scored a three-yard touchdown in the second quarter in the loss.

    Southington (0-1) will visit Toledo Christian in Week Two on Saturday, Sept. 14.

    Southington plays as a full-time eight-man football team. The Wildcats participate in the Northern 8 conference with Sebring.
