Popular discount retailer coming to Eastwood Mall

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – A new large-scale outdoor retailer is coming to the Eastwood Mall complex.

Sierra Trading Post will build its first location in the region on the mall complex. The 24,000-square-foot store will be built in the Howland Commons section of the complex, next to HomeGoods. Construction is set to begin this fall.

Sierra is an off-price retailer specializing in everything outdoors where you can find camping equipment, biking and hiking gear, clothes, apparel and many other items.

In 2012, Sierra was acquired by TJX Companies Inc., which also operates T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls and HomeSense. There are currently 101 Sierra Trading Post stores operating coast-to-coast.

Earlier this week, the mall announced three other businesses that are coming to the complex.
