Filmmaker VaShawn Dixon and actor DeAndre Williams, who grew up in Mobile and attended LeFlore and Vigor high schools, respectively, joined WKRG News 5’s Shamonee Baker and Bill Riales on the red couch to discuss the film “P.O.V. “

The film, which showcases the perspectives of characters in the aftermath of a crime and the need to bring the cycle of violence to an end, debuted at the Saenger Theatre this summer.

“We got a very good response from the people who attended the movie at Saenger Theatre,” Williams said. “We had over — about a thousand people to show up to the event, and everyone was very appreciative of the opportunity to see some independent filmmakers, and they commended us on the job and are looking forward to coming to see it at the AMC theatres.”
