Baldwin County’s new sheriff names chief deputy

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — New Baldwin County Sheriff Anthony Lowery has named the new chief deputy of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a BCSO news release, Baldwin County District Attorney Chief Investigator Donald “David” White Jr. has been appointed to the chief deputy position.

White grew up in Spanish Fort and graduated from Daphne High School in 1990. He then went on to graduate from Faulkner State Community College in 1996 with an associate’s degree in criminal justice.

In 1993, White completed training at the Southwest Alabama Police Academy in Bay Minette.

White then began his career with the Foley Police Department and was able to rise through the ranks from patrolman to captain while also serving on the BCSO Drug Task Force.

He was appointed interim chief of the FPD in 2006 and served 10 months before graduating from the prestigious FBI’s National Academy in Quantico, Va. in 2013.

White joined the Baldwin County DA’s Office in 2017.
