    Civil Rights & Cultural Heritage District Master Planning Draft Plan Community Meeting tonight in Mobile County

    MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A master plan draft will be presented to the Mobile County Commission showing elements for Mobile County’s Civil Rights and Cultural Heritage District on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

    A news release from the Mobile Civil Rights and Cultural Heritage District said consultants will present the draft plan that was created from multiple stakeholders’ listening sessions and research.

    Creating this master plan is one of the Mobile County Commission’s American Rescue Plan Act-funded projects.

    “It seeks to preserve and promote diverse heritage, revitalize the community, and attract new traffic and economic opportunities,” read the release.

    The meeting will be held at the Gene Haas Center for Advance Manufacturing and Technology at Bishop State Community College in room 122.
