    Mobile man arrested after allegedly leading police on chase

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A local man was arrested after allegedly leading police on a vehicle and foot chase after a traffic stop.

    The Mobile Police Department said that man was identified as 30-year-old Christopher Bernard Turner of Mobile.

    According to the department, officers arrested Turner after he refused to stop for officers when they tried to pull him over for a violation near Wolf Ridge Road and Feedmill Road.

    The incident allegedly happened around 1:04 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.

    INCIDENT LOCATION:

    An MPD news release said Turner led officers on a vehicle chase until he stopped near Ossia Edwards Street and John Helm Street in Prichard, exited the automobile, and left the area on foot.

    MPD said officers were able to catch up to Turner and arrested him.

    Turner was charged with felony attempt to elude, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office jail log.
