    Man wanted for homicide in Maury County, considered ‘armed and dangerous’

    MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities in Maury County are trying to track down a wanted man who they said should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

    The Maury County Sheriff’s Department posted about 46-year-old Michael Van Dobbs on Saturday, Sept. 7, saying he is currently wanted for criminal homicide.

    Officials described Dobbs as 6 feet tall and 235 pounds. The following photo was shared on social media by law enforcement:

    If you see Dobbs or have any information regarding his whereabouts, you are asked not to approach him. Instead, call the Maury County Sheriff’s Department immediately at 931-388-5151.

    Authorities have not released any information about the circumstances surrounding the incident that led to Dobbs being wanted for homicide.
