PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. ( WMBB ) — Arnold High School Athletics honored former coach James Hale and the 2003 football team for the school’s silver anniversary.

Before the Marlins’ season opener, Hale, his staff, 2003 players, and athletic director Julie Hale were recognized as honorary captains.

The 2003 football team finished with a 10-1 record and made a run to the region semi-finals.

During his 13 years with Arnold, coach Hale had an overall record of 80-52.

“It’s unbelievable to see them again,” Hale said. “They still look good. They look like they can play now. They were a great group of kids. They work extremely hard. That was the first group that had been in the weight room for four solid years.”

The 2024 Marlins opened the season with an 8-7 win over Bay High.
