    Firefighters respond to residential fire at Driftwood Estates in Santa Rosa Beach

    SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. ( WMBB ) – South Walton Fire District firefighters responded to a residential structure in Driftwood Estate on Sunday.

    According to a news release, the fire happened at 9 a.m. on 1421 Driftwood Point Road.

    SWFD crews said they arrived to find a large single-story home with flames and smoke visible from the residence.

    Community came together at Family Fun Day

    Firefighters confirmed they were able to knock the fire down and prevent it from spreading further.

    The home was unoccupied at the time and sustained heavy damage, fire officials confirmed. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.

    The fire is under investigation at this time.
