WNCT.com’s Get in the Game: Blayden McDaniel

SNOW HILL, N.C. (WNCT) — Blayden McDaniel plays baseball for the Dirtbags 12U travel ball team and West Craven Middle School. He does a little of everything on the field.

Blayden pitches, plays shortstop and third base for his travel ball team. When it comes to his middle school baseball team, he’s behind the dish playing catcher.

His dad, Gareth McDaniel is the coach for the team. McDaniel is most impressed by his son’s ability to adapt to any position on the field.

“It doesn’t matter where I can put him on the field,” said McDaniel. “He will give me 100%.”

Blayden has been playing baseball since he was 4 and started travel ball when he was 9.
