Three rescued after being stuck in marsh in Calico Creek in Carteret County

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) — The Atlantic Beach Fire Department and Morehead City Fire-EMS worked together on a water rescue Tuesday in Calico Creek.

Leaders with the city said three people were rescued after being stuck in the marsh. The three children/young teenagers were rescued and checked out as a precaution.

The call came in around 5:30 p.m. and the three were rescued within 20 minutes.
