    Kinston inmate faces additional charges for felony larceny

    KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A Kinston man who resides in the Lenoir County Detention Center is facing additional charges in connection to a conspiracy to commit felony larceny.

    Jason Eugene Smith, 41 years old, received a felony charge on Tuesday after detectives with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office filed a warrant. The felony larceny occured in La Grange on July 9. The stolen property was returned to the owner. Detectives arrested 67 year old Mark Anthony Mann on July 23, for felony possession of stolen property.

    Smith was taken to the magistrate where he was not given a bond due to pretrial release.
