KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Dreams and dedication have finally come to life after a decade of planning.

Harmony Park in Kinston has just broken ground on Phase 1, a special park designed for residents with disabilities, that represents an unwavering commitment of the Kinston community. There will be a place for residents of all abilities to come together to create music, connect with nature and experience the joy of play.

“We designed it with musical instruments that you can play regardless of musical talent. Music is good for the soul and I feel like playing is even better than listening sometimes. So having something on campus makes it more accessible for our residents to come and enjoy throughout the day,” said Diane Fleetwood, Director.
