    2 shot in Goldsboro, investigation underway

    GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) –  The Goldsboro Police Department launched an investigation Saturday night after two men were shot in the 500 block of East Elm Street.

    According to a news release, Goldsboro Police received a Shotspotter alert and arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m. Two men from Goldsboro, aged 29 and 38, had been struck by gunfire.

    “Both subjects were shot in the lower extremities. One subject is listed in stable condition and the other subject is listed in serious condition,” Goldsboro Police said.

    The victims were taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center.

    No arrests have been announced in the investigation.
