MAYSVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Maysville will be expanding its downtown with their redevelopment project.

This comes with an additional $87,5000 in grant funding from the Rural Economic Development Grant, bringing the total funding for the project up to $937,500. The town has acquired the buildings at 502-508 Main Street and will use the funds along with additional contributions to complete the project.

This will include revitalizing the spaces into a mix of commercial and residential units. The first floor will become high-quality spaces for retail, restaurants and professional services. The second floor will hold residential workforce housing targeted for town employees and local teachers.

The group is set to begin construction immediately and is expected to be completed by February 21, 2025.
