Commanding General discusses Fort Riley
Maj. Gen. Monte Rone told a Military Affairs Council Breakfast audience in Junction City this week that Fort Riley can't be a secret. Rone noted that his concern is always the single soldiers finding opportunities to do things, "finding unique ways that we can take care of all our Soldiers, especially single soldiers." Cleanup effort will be conducted on Grant Avenue
There will be an effort to spruce up Grant Ave on the north side of Junction City. Phyllis Fitzgerald is coordinating a volunteer cleanup on Saturday beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the boat dock / parking area near the Republican River on the north side of Junction City. The goal is to clean up the north half of Grant Ave.
