Woman seriously hurt when tree crashes through N.J. home during storms
A woman was seriously injured Wednesday night after a tree crashed through a Park Ridge home as a ferocious storm rolled through North Jersey, police said. The tree went through the Park Avenue home on the east side of town around 8:30 p.m. and the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, Park Ridge Police Capt. Joseph Rampolla told NJ Advance Media.

Warburton Avenue House Suffers Tree Damage After Wednesday Storm
HAWTHORNE, NJ - Wednesday night's storm had Hawthorne Fire Department very busy answering calls for downed trees. The first call came at approximately 8:40 p.m.: tree on a house at Warburton Avenue.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER This tree fell through the roof and onto the second floor, causing major damage to the home. Struts had to be used to stabilize the front of the house. Gas and electric were shut off and Downes Tree Service was called. Downes continues to work on removable of the tree today. The area was blocked off through early Thursday afternoon. While the Fire Department was working on this call, a second storm call came in for a downed tree on Lincoln Avenue.
