First responder agencies across Kent County are remembering 31-year-old Brian Moore, a 911 dispatcher with the Kent County Department of Public Safety and a volunteer firefighter with the Camden-Wyoming Fire Department.

Moore died Tuesday morning in a crash in Woodside after a car drifted over the center line and hit his vehicle head-on. Two others were also injured in the collision.

"Brian was an integral part of our team, renowned for his unwavering positive attitude and steadfast dedication to serving our community," the Kent County Department of Public Safety wrote on Facebook. "His sudden loss leaves a void in our hearts and our department."

Many who knew Moore changed their profile pictures to the Kent County Department of Public Safety badge with Moore's dispatch code, EC29, across the center of it. Colleagues shared memories of Moore's friendly pranks and "big heart" online, with others who knew him even just in passing remarking on his constant smile.

"We mourn together as one family, united in our respect and admiration for Brian’s contribution to our lives and our safety," the Kent County Department of Public Safety said.

The department wrote on Facebook that details regarding funeral services and memorials will be released in the coming days.
