WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - An Arkansas State Trooper is no longer on the force following his arrest for driving while intoxicated with two children in his vehicle. According to an Arkansas State Police news release, Washington County sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old Mitchell Smothers of Springdale following a rollover crash at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, on Winn Creek Road.
