CITY OF MABLETON MEETING NOTICE
There will be a Called Meeting of the City of Mableton, Georgia, (“City”) Mayor and Council for the purpose of discussing and/or acting upon municipal, transitional and incorporative matters. The meetings will take place at Riverside EpiCenter, 135 Riverside Parkway, Austell, Georgia and are open to the public.

Cortez Smith, a four-star offensive lineman from Parkview High School in Lilburn, Ga., has committed to UGA football for the class of 2025. Smith announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. Smith (6-3, 310) committed to the Bulldogs over Georgia Tech, Miami, and South Carolina.
One dead, one arrested after Saturday shooting in Oakwood
A man is facing murder charges after a shooting that killed a man in Oakwood Saturday afternoon. A release from the Oakwood Police Department Sunday said officers were called to a home on Aster Place in the Prescott neighborhood off of McEver Road just before 4:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting. When they got to the scene, they found a vehicle that had crashed into the rear of a home on nearby Wild Berry Court.
