Alexandria man arrested, accused in fatal June shooting on Overton Street
A 21-year-old Alexandria man was arrested Sunday, accused of killing a man in June on Overton Street, according to the Alexandria Police Department. Robert Drakes III was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center #1 at 11:01 p.m. on one count of second-degree murder. Bail was set at $1 million.

Victoria McClung of Bossier City won the small-bore rifle category in the Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships held June 23-28 in Grand Island, Neb.
