A summer event in Madison returns tonight. Downtown in MadTown kicks off its six week series of events tonight in downtown Madison. Downtown in MadTown takes place from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays through August 20th. The event takes place in the 100-blocks of North and South Egan Avenue. Tonight Amy Wineland will perform, and it will also be Classic Car Night. There will be food vendors, booths, and also kids’ activities. After the first round, Braun sits in first place & the leader in the clubhouse, five strokes ahead of Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink. Braun carded a [+3, 75] for the first day and got off to a great start on the front and the back nine. She picked up birdies on the first & 10th hole, both of them par-fours’; she also picked up a birdie on the par three 12th hole + a birdie on the par four 17th hole. Braun will look to close things out on Tuesday in Rapid City from Meadowbrook GC, following her runner up finish in state match play in Brookings this past weekend.

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Smithwick’s Gabe Glines and Woonsocket’s Tierney Breen both shined at Monday’s National High School Finals Rodeo. Glines scored a 145 in the boys cutting, tying him for first in the Monday morning performance. Breen scored a 7.65 in the goat tying, the best time in the Monday morning performance. Belle Fourche's Rance Bowden and Sern Weishaar teamed up for a 7.400 seconds in the team roping, earning the top time in Monday's evening performance.

PIERRE, S.D. - The South Dakota Department of Transportation’s (SDDOT) Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) located on Interstate 90 at exit 59 and North LaCrosse Street in Rapid City was recently honored as a winner within the Western Association of State Transportation Officials (WASHTO) region for the 2024 America’s Transportation Awards competition.
