Capping a 16-0 spring, Triway's Bremenour 12U baseball team won the battle for gold in the Gold Game against Chippewa's 12U Funk Team.

"Teaching our players leadership, mental toughness and fundamentals are always the priorities, " said coach Guy Bremenour. "Without the kids buying into these priorities and them learning and excelling in them, we would not have been able to go 16-0.

"After our first practice, I would never have guessed we would be the undefeated champs. This is truly a testament to how hard these kids have worked this year."

Leading the way in the title game for the Titans was Hayden Bahmer with a double, a homer and six RBIs, with Grant Miller and Mason Massaro both collecting two hits apiece. Liam Bremenour fired three perfect frames with six strikeouts and Mason Massaro finished the last two innings with four strikeouts.

"We faced one of the best pitchers in this league (Tanner Klotzle) and if we were going to win, we needed to have confidence at the plate and jump on them early," said Bremenour. "That is exactly what we did as (Hayden) Bahmer's three-run homer in the first gave us that jump and finishing that frame with a four-run lead really set the tone.

"Our pitching has been phenomenal all year, no matter who is on the mound. The credit goes to all seven of the pitchers that we utilized this year; Bryor Watson, Mason Massaro, Liam Bremenour, Mason Houser, Brody Michaels, Jackson Lendon and Liam Davis. We were confident with Liam Bremenour and Mason Massaro pitching in the championship game."

With that kind of depth in the youth system, Triway baseball's future is bright.

"Triway Baseball has a very bright future with the amount of talent that is coming up. A big shout out goes to Coach Frank and Coach Watson; Triway is very fortunate to have them as leaders and coaches."

Chippewa's Funk 12U team was led by Wyatt and Lincoln with a hit each as they finished with a 13-4 record on the year.
