Emergency responders stress safety with fireworks as 4th of July approaches
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Fourth of July celebrations are right around the corner, and there is one thing that emergency responders say they can't stress enough when it comes to fireworks: safety. PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — John Parboosingh's brother lives in Portmore, Jamaica, less than 10 miles from Kingston, where Hurricane Beryl is expected to make catastrophic landfall Wednesday afternoon. Bethlehem City Council OKs Hotel Bethlehem deal
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bethlehem City Council voted Tuesday to settle a land dispute between the city and its namesake hotel. City Council voted unanimously to approve a three-way deal among the city, its redevelopment authority and Christmas City Hotel — owner of the Hotel Bethlehem — that ensures the hotel can continue to use a small parking area and exit lane off Main Street.
