Muggy conditions continue in Philadelphia region Wednesday with storms possible
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The muggy air and unsettled weather pattern kicks up a bit on Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies, temperatures in the 80s and off-and-on showers and storms. While we are not expecting anything widespread, we will have slow-moving areas of heavy rain, so localized flooding may affect some areas. That pattern continues again on Thursday with a greater chance for storms during the evening as a front pushes through, adding extra energy for Mother Nature to work with. 76ers welcome Paul George, welcome back Maxey with all parties in desperate chase for championship
CAMDEN, N.J. — Paul George ditched Los Angeles and decided to help form a new Big Three in Philadelphia with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Maxey needed to stick around to complete the talented trio. The 76ers went all in on lavish, long-term contracts to make it happen. George was welcomed to Philly after he signed a four-year, $212 million free-agent contract after the nine-time All-Star spurned the Clippers. Maxey stayed with the 76ers on a five-year, $204 million extension. Philadelphia has not won an NBA title since 1983 or even advanced out of the second round of the playoffs since 2001.

It's his physical, in-your-face style that has him on the team's radar. And potentially as soon as the 2024-25 season. McDonald debuted with the Phantoms last season and is set for his first full year after two seasons at Northeastern.
