Downingtown STEM Grad Wins Scholarship for Work in Suicide Prevention, Mental Health
Recent STEM grad Sophia Fontecchio created her nonprofit in 2021. Sophia Fontecchio of Downingtown recently received the third annual Youth Scholarship, presented by the Chester County Suicide Prevention Task Force. The $1,000 scholarship is open to high school seniors in Chester County who contributed to school and community activities to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.
NJ retail theft problem: Suburb busts 38 in just 2 days
CHERRY HILL — A two-day sting operation at retail stores in this Philadelphia suburb led to dozens of arrests.
