PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Former Philadelphia police officer Edsaul Mendoza was sentenced Monday to at least eight years in prison for shooting and killing 12-year-old Thomas Siderio in March 2022. A judge sentenced Mendoza to eight to 20 years in prison Monday. Mendoza pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in April.
