Cubs edge Pipestone 1-0 for 2nd amateur baseball win
The Worthington Cubs doubled their win total for the 2024 season on Sunday afternoon by scoring a 1-0 victory on the road in Pipestone. Tate Gaul and Jake Brandner shared the pitching duties for the Cubs and combined on a shutout while striking out 12 A's hitters. Tommy Lais drove in the lone run of the game in the sixth inning. Lais, Triston Sauerbrei and Logan Huisman each had hits in the game for the Cubs.
