Community breaks ground on Summersville Athletic Complex

SUMMERSVILLE, WV (WOWK) – After decades of planning and preparing, the community broke ground Friday on what will eventually be the new Summersville Athletic Complex.

This $12 million, 128-acre complex is going to offer a wide variety of athletic opportunities to Nicholas County, such as new hiking trails and dirt bike paths.

There will also be several soccer fields including a new field for Nicholas County High School.

Construction is set to begin later this year.
