East Bank Middle School’s portable locker rooms delivered

EAST BANK, WV (WOWK)– After many setbacks and delays, East Bank Middle School’s football team will finally be able to start their season .

The town shipped in temporary bleachers, and portable restrooms for fans and locker rooms for players.

There was an issue last week when it was announced that the delivery of the portable locker rooms had been delayed, causing the team to have to postpone their scrimmage.

East Bank has faced many issues in the last few months as their football team was told they would be unable to play on their home field for the upcoming season due to safety concerns .

The concern was regarding the bleachers at Calvert Field as they were deemed to be unsafe. The bleachers were torn down earlier this month.

Originally the team was going to be playing at Riverside High School’s field, but the town worked out a plan to be able to play on their home field.

Their first scrimmage of the season began at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
