CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — Travelers going through the West Virginia Turnpike tolls will have to pay $4.50 starting in 2025, according to the West Virginia Parkways Authority.

This new 5% increase will start on Jan. 1, 2025, according to Parkways Authority Executive Director Jeff Miller. He said this is the most the West Virginia legislature will allow every three years.

Motorists are currently paying $4.25 to go through the tolls. You can also purchase an E-ZPass, which will be $27.50 starting on Jan. 1, 2025, to go through the tolls as many times as you want.

Miller also said credit cards will be an accepted form of payment at toll booths as early as December 2024, but it could start in the early months of 2025.
