Driver hits teen, flees from scene in Mason County

UPDATE (10:46 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4): There is an open investigation after a hit-and-run where a teen was hit by a driver, according to Mason County Sheriff Corey Miller.

Sheriff Miller said they have not found the suspect yet.

He said the teen has minor injuries and is doing well.

No other information is being released at this time.

MASON COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A teenager in Mason County is recovering after being hit by a driver Tuesday night.

According to Mason County dispatchers, the incident occurred around 9 p.m. in Leon near Charleston Road. The teen was said to have sustained minor injuries and there is currently no word as to who hit them.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
