Woonsocket’s Autumnfest now accepting parade participants

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Now is the perfect time to secure your spot in this year’s parade at northern Rhode Island’s largest fall festival.

Each year, the Autumnfest festival takes over Woonsocket during Columbus Day weekend, drawing thousands of attendees for music, food, fun, and, of course, the parade.

This year, the 46th Autumnfest Celebration is set to run from Friday, Oct. 11, through Monday, Oct. 14, with the parade kicking off at 9:30 a.m. on Columbus Day.

If your school band or organization is interested in entering a float or marching in the parade, you can fill out the online form and submit it by Sept. 30.

Autumnfest Coordinator Tom Gray will then reach out with more details.
