Ceiling hoists recalled because straps can break

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Delta Cycle is recalling more than 25,000 ceiling hoists because the straps can break, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Specifically, the plastic buckles on the ceiling hoists — which are typically used to store kayaks, canoes, bikes, ladders and boxes — can snap, posing an injury risk to anyone underneath the falling object.
