    Emily Brooks wins RI Women’s Amateur Championship

    EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Emily Brooks defeated Morgan Macleod to win the Rhode Island Women’s Amateur Championship Friday at Wannamoisett Country Club.

    I don’t have any words right now. It was really a hard fought match between the two of us. Anytime I had some kind of opening Morgan shut the door,” Brooks said. “I just tried to stick to my game plan and be aggressive and see what I could do and it worked out in the end. But I’m I’m thrilled, I’m just thrilled.”
